On 15 January 2026, a lecture-meeting for adults and teenagers entitled “Minerals of the Colour of Winter” took place. An informative and vivid presentation accompanied the stories about minerals whose colouring, lustre, transparency and “patterns” remind us of this season, as well as of winter holidays. Interesting stories of mineral deposits associated with Christmas were also mentioned.
During the lecture, participants were able to familiarise themselves with a thematic collection of minerals, hold specimens in their hands, examine them closely and take photographs.
The traditional souvenirs from the Museum were a real surprise this time, as they contained small specimens of various “winter” minerals and rocks.
After the lecture, all participants moved from the lecture room to the Museum halls for a guided tour.
